"Overboard overlord"

Films: Overlord (2018)

Alias: Various

Type: Man-Made

Location: Haunted Home

Height/Weight: That of an average human (usually).

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The Nazis will never stop trying to find ways to circumvent their complete hate-filled stupidity, always trying to find increasingly ridiculous solutions to their incompetence. Now, we see them go one step too far. By way of "Reanimator", that is.

History: It is the dawn of D-Day in WWII, and a bunch of Allied soldiers have discovered a dark secret lurking in a near-abandoned underground laboratory in a French village. Within this dark home lies the handiwork of SS Hauptsturmfuhrer Wafner. This madman has somehow gotten his hands on a black tar-like substance that can reanimate the dead and negate fatal injuries. It's been under the village for a long time, but he plans on harnessing it to create an army of super-Nazis incapable of feeling pain. But most of his test subjects are agonized failures, and few bear fruit. Still, Wafner nonetheless gets his sick kicks from torturing those who dare confront him...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The last confrontation between the survivors and a now-mutated Wafner ends with the latter getting blasted into the vat of the substance. Just before he and the rest of the undead can rise again, the whole place is blown to smithereens. D-Day is shortly won by the Allies afterward.

Powers/Abilities: The serum causes people to become immortal, shaking off any and all wounds.

Weakness: Depending on the damage, they get weaker with each injection of the serum.

Scariness Factor: 4-The phrase "Nazi zombies" is a rather overused one. Better to call these things what they are. As in, "perpectually suffering killing machines". The body horror on display from these undead berserkers is sickening, especially on guys like Wafner eventually. And speaking of Wafner, he's as sociopathic and brutal as one would expect a high-ranking Nazi captain to be.

Trivia: -While this film was in development, people speculated that it was one connected to "Cloverfield", if only because J. Abrams was directing it. Those rumors were soundly squashed.

-Wafner was played by Pilou Asbæk, who would sadly be forced to do Euron Greyjoy in the piddling final seasons of "Game of Thrones".
